I feel like I should be driving an Italian sports car when I wear this:
Oh, how about a Tipo 33 Stradale? Now how do I get one of those?

How large are the autodromos? I've been thinking about picking one up, but I can't stand gigantic watchfaces, so I've been hesitant to do so.

Not a fan of anything Autodromo makes, especially because the movement in your watch only cost about $20 for them to purchase and all they did was throw in a cheap printed dial and steel case - hell they didn't even make it water resistant to any useable depth (I know it's not a diving watch but my old Seiko could still hit 100M). Also the labeling "Swiss MOVT." is not allowed to be used on watches with Swiss movements - based on Swiss law if the movement qualifies as Swiss it must read "Swiss Movement". "MOVT" means they bought the ebauche unfinished from Rhonda and assembled the rest of it here (the US) or China. I mean they didn't even give you a proper date window!!! They left the date wheel just open!

This one is about 40mm across. I also hate huge sundials on one's wrist, so this one is sized perfectly to me.

If you live in the Midwest, it's pronounced Eye-tal-yins.

Yea, this is why I usually don't buy anything that's quartz. (It's actually the only quartz in my current line-up.) But I bought this one for the aesthetics.

Muchas gracias for the input. I've been eyeballing those for a while. Quality etc. satisfactory?
Also, just saw on the site that you can print off a full-size PDF of each watch to gauge its size on your wrist; cool!

Whats wrong with quartz bro? I am currently wearing a manual wind watch, but honestly, quartz puts mechanical watches to shame accuracy wise. Not as neat to look at, but if you cant see the internal, why bother with mechanical?

Quartz watches have no soul. It is understood they are generally more accurate but now that wearing a watch is not a necessity it's nice to have a manual or automatic movement.

Oh they look good don't get me wrong I just can't see paying that much for one. The only quartz I have right now is a Swatch Skin Flattention

ehh, after wearing a manual for a while, and also having a ecodrive dress watch, I'm thinking of buying an ecodrive for everyday use. It's just less hassle. I do like watching the gears move and tick though. Let it be noted, that I almost typed "driving" instead of buying, and this is eerily similar to the manual automatic trans debate(which I go for manual every time).

Nothing wrong with quartz, just I personally prefer mechanical watches. I also can't stand the tick-tock of a quartz second hand; it just can't match the sweep of a mechanical second hand, especially in high beat movements.

Quality is good. The watch box is outstanding. I'll some pics of the box up in a minute.

I was actually going to say that it's pretty much the manual/automatic debate. Both ways get the same thing done, they just go about it differently.
